Morocco 8 day itinerary from Marrakech

Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech

At the agreed-upon time, we will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will have the opportunity to take a first walk around the city.

Day 2: High Atlas – Aït Ben Haddou – Dades Valley

Departure from Marrakech at 8:00 a.m. heading south, crossing the High Atlas and the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m above sea level). Stop to enjoy Moroccan tea and admire the panoramic views.
Visit the Kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the setting for numerous films.
Lunch at Aït Ben Haddou.
We cross the Valley of Roses and arrive in the Dades Valley.
Dinner and overnight stay at a hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 3: Todra Gorge – Merzouga desert experience

Breakfast and departure for the impressive Todra Gorge, with its towering walls reaching up to 300 meters high.
A walk and free time to explore the area.
We continue to Merzouga. Upon arrival, we ride camels and cross the Erg Chebbi dunes to reach our camp.
Welcome tea, dinner, and overnight in tents under the stars.

Day 4: Off-raod tour around the Merzouga desert

Sunrise in the desert and breakfast at the camp.
Return by camel and excursion around Merzouga: we visit the village of Hassi Lbied, the palm grove, and the village of Khamlia, where we will learn about Gnawa music.
Accommodation in a hotel with a pool.
*Extra: possibility of an afternoon quad biking excursion.*

Day 5: Rissani – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate

Departure to Ouarzazate, passing through Rissani and its traditional market.
We explore the Draa Valley, Morocco’s longest river, surrounded by palm groves and kasbahs.
Dinner and overnight in Ouarzazate.

Day 6: High Atlas – Marrakech

We cross the High Atlas again, stopping at panoramic viewpoints before arriving in Marrakech.
Overnight stay in a riad in Marrakech.
*Extra: Possibility of visiting the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios in Ouarzazate.

Day 7: City tour of Marrakech

Tour of the city’s main monuments:
Koutoubia Minaret
Saadian Tombs
Bahia Palace
Jemaa el-Fna Square (World Heritage Site)
In the afternoon, optional visit to the Majorelle Gardens.
Overnight stay with breakfast in Marrakech.
